Just an update...
We spent a few hours with the specialist today and he said KD didn't need to check in to the hospital today if he didn't want to. Still no answer what the problem is though.
His white blood cell count is critically low and we may have to check him through the emergency room if he gets bad (worse). But for now he's staying here with me. We go back tomorrow, where he has a bone marrow biopsy. Short but painful procedure. That test may or may not help them figure out what this is.
Anyhow, we're doing this day to day. If anything happens or we get some real info, I'll let you know.
